My 87-year-old mother fell and broke her hip. After 13 days in the hospital, she was discharged to Chateau Jesadean Assisted Living for an additional month of rehab before going home. She had moderate delirium from the trauma of hip fracture, surgery and hospital stay at the time of discharge along with the medical issues of recovering from the broken and surgically repaired hip. The owner, administrator and care staff provided outstanding service and care not only to my mother but to me as well during her stay. I am the only care giver to my wife who is bedridden with late stage four cancer.Chateau Jesadean dealt with the hospital for discharge, arranged to pick up her discharge medications and helped manage follow up medical appointments. They cared for my mother and accommodated my needs and chaotic schedule. They purchased nonmedical and special supplies for her as I was unable to due to caring for my wife. They supported me as well as my mother.Chateau Jesadean dealt with her delirium in a very caring way. Listening to mother’s delirium induced stories. They kept me informed of mother’s condition and home healthcare and physical therapy visits.Mother is an avid reader and seldom watches TV. The owner made her personal library available to my mother for reading material. Through her delirium when I would visit, she would always tell me how nice the people were there. At the end of mother’s rehab, my mother had become so attached to the staff she invited them to visit her at her home. At the end of Mother’s stay I knew I had found a care facility for my family’s future needs.
